🧬 About this compound
GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine (CAS 89030-95-5, formula C14H22CuN6O4, about 404 g/mol). GHK was first isolated from human plasma in the 1970s and binds copper tightly. In laboratory research it has been studied in cell and tissue models, including work on extracellular matrix proteins and gene expression. It is also a common reference standard for copper-peptide analytical methods.
